Tri-S Recruiters is partnering with a Northwest Indiana healthcare provider in East Chicago to recruit a Psychiatrist for outpatient care. This full-time, permanent role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with weekend/holiday rounding as needed and a strong emphasis on work-life balance.

The physician will perform evaluations, manage medications, and apply psychotherapy as part of integrated care with other teams.

• ABPN Board Certification/Eligibility with plan for certification within timeframe.
• Unrestricted Indiana medical license and CSR/DEA registration.
• Experience with EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with EMR systems.

Responsabilidades

• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications with attention to efficacy and side effects.
• Utilize psychotherapeutic methods with pharmacological treatments.
• Collaborate with primary care, social work, and nursing teams to support integrated care.
• Maintain accurate EHR and participate in clinical quality reviews.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including diagnostic interviews and mental status examinations, to develop individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, evaluating efficacy and side effects to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize psychotherapeutic methods in conjunction with pharmacological treatments to manage acute and chronic mental health conditions
• Partner with primary care, social work, and nursing teams to provide integrated behavioral health support across clinical settings
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EHR) and participate in clinical quality reviews to enhance patient safety and care standards

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) with a clear plan for certification within a specified timeframe.
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
