Qualifications

• Practical Nursing Diploma required.
• Active nursing license in good standing with Georgia State.
• At least 1 year of psychiatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including nutrition and pain evaluations.
• Administer and monitor medications as prescribed, adjusting as needed under supervision.
• Monitor behavioral changes and report observations to the healthcare team.
• Ensure proper medication handling, storage, and documentation compliance.
• Collect urine samples and perform blood draws as required, with proper labeling and lab submission.
• Educate patients and families about symptoms, treatments, and medication side effects.
• Assist with patient assistance programs and prior authorizations for meds or treatments.
• Maintain accurate records of care activities and changes in condition.
• Adhere to all policies, regulations, and standards in the healthcare setting.
