Job summary

Thoroughbred Wellness and Recovery in Georgia seeks a Primary Therapist to deliver individual and group therapy and coordinate care for clients with substance use and/or mental health conditions. The role emphasizes using evidence-based modalities and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery.

The position requires a MASTER'S degree in a relevant field and Georgia licensure, with at least 2 years of clinical experience in SUD/mental health.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology required.
• Georgia licensure (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in SUD/mental health.
• CADC, CAC certification preferred but not required. CPR and restraint certification provided upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to determine treatment needs.
• Provide individual therapy using CBT/DBT and other modalities.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on substance use recovery and relapse prevention.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans with clients.
• Coordinate care with healthcare providers, social services, and support networks.
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation per regulations and policies.
• Educate clients and families about treatment options and coping strategies.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
