Job summary

Baptist Medical Center in downtown Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for our outpatient rehab team. This full-time role involves weekday hours at the Downtown Hill Breast Center, with caseloads spanning orthopedic and general medical patients.

Under supervision of a licensed PT, you will help improve function, participate in education and licensure requirements, and contribute to budget and quality initiatives. A Florida PTA license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant from FL Department of Health required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy services to patients as prescribed by the attending physician.
• Participates in departmental operations and in performance improvement activities.
• Responsible for remaining within budget guidelines.
• Participate in mandatory education and licensure requirements.
