Rehab Associates of Central Virginia, an outpatient physical therapy provider, seeks a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to implement programs and follow recovery plans, enhancing patients’ physical abilities. You will apply treatments and monitor progress in collaboration with a Physical Therapist.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant or eligible to obtain in Virginia.
• Outpatient clinic experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by established protocols and guidelines.
• Maintain timely documentation including daily notes and progress reports.
• Deliver comprehensive patient care using active and passive modalities and manual therapies.
• Administer traction to alleviate neck and back pain as needed.
• Instruct and assist patients to improve functional activities and mobility.
• Observe treatment responses and report progress to PT and Clinical Director.
• Fit and train patients on braces, prostheses, and assistive devices.
• Collaborate with PT staff to plan, modify, and coordinate treatment programs.
• Measure joint range, body part metrics, and vital signs for evaluations.
