Job summary

Aiken Regional Medical Centers, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver outpatient PT services under supervision. This role supports adults, collaborates with the care team, and contributes to discharge planning and patient education.

Requirements include an accredited PTA degree, SC license, BLS, and strong communication skills. Prior acute care experience preferred but not required; assessments may be used in hiring.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited PTA program (Associate's Degree).
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Current SC license and BLS.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment assessments by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plan under supervision.
• Provide patient and family education before discharge.
• Participate in committees and task forces as appropriate.
• Maintain documentation accuracy in patient charts.
• Charge accurately for services rendered.
• Review charts to prepare for patient care.
• Communicate professionally with interdisciplinary team.
