Outpatient Physical Therapist - Statesville

Description

Works independently to provide physical therapy evaluations and therapy services to patients as ordered by a physician, consistent with hospital policies, standards of practice, and regulations as directed by the Rehab Director. Provides assistance to patients in restoring function and preventing disability following disease, injury, or limb loss. Has full access to patient health information.

Shift: Mon. - Thurs. 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Fri. 8 AM - 12:00 PM, weekend rotation.

Requirements:

• Current licensure in NC as a Physical Therapist or eligible for licensure examination.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; must be completed upon hire if not already certified.
• Successful completion of a competency-based orientation covering age and population-specific skills, including growth and development needs for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Ability to perform physical demands such as positioning, transferring, and lifting patients.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods. Capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.
