Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to assist patients in achieving maximum physical performance and adapting to disabilities. You will interpret evaluations and test results, set goals and plans, perform manual therapy, and educate patients on using assistive devices.

Graduation from an accredited PT program is required. Licensure rules vary by year; DPT is required for licensure from 2016 onward, with historical bachelor’s or master’s degrees accepted before 2016.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
• For licensure prior to 2016, a bachelor's or master's degree is acceptable; for licensure from 2016 onward, a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts plans to maximize benefit.
• Establishes plan of care and documents goals.
• Provides in-service education to nursing staff as needed.
• Documents goals, progress, and reevaluation plans.
• Discusses evaluation, goals, and treatment with patient and family.
• Participates in hospital-wide quality process improvements.
• Supervises PTAs per policy and state regulations.
