Responsibilities

Job Summary


The Physical Therapist evaluates and provides evidence-based physical therapy services to individuals with disabilities or functional limitations. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, implementing therapy techniques, documenting patient progress, collaborating with medical teams, supervising staff, and contributing to department improvements.


  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities. Provide instructions to patients and families.
  • Evaluate patients, establish treatment goals, and perform ongoing assessments to ensure effective care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including evaluations, treatment notes, and discharge summaries, and handle billing procedures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, communicate patient progress, and participate in rounds and meetings.
  • Supervise therapy assistants and staff, provide guidance, and act as a resource for therapy issues.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university approved by the APTA (required).

Licenses and Certifications

Current AZ State Board of Physical Therapy license and/or PT Compact License, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required.
