Job summary

Wellness Works Physical Therapy, PC in Metuchen, New Jersey, is seeking a dedicated full-time Physical Therapist to join our outpatient team. You will deliver individualized therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance patients' daily living and functional independence.

You will collaborate with therapists, assistants, and staff to educate families, assess home safety, and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• DPT from an accredited program.
• At least 1 year of PT experience in acute care or home care.
• New Jersey PT license in good standing.
• CPR and first aid certification.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and direct physical therapy treatments to alleviate pain, restore mobility, and prevent disability in patients, guided by their individualized care plans.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical condition through diagnostic assessments to develop tailored treatment modalities.
• Oversee the work of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring compliance with the established treatment plans and offering mentorship in practice.
• Collaborate with clients' families and caregivers to provide education on the rehabilitation process and resources to support ongoing recovery.
• Assess patients' home environments, advising on necessary modifications to facilitate independence and safety.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring all records meet compliance standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights that shape the holistic treatment approach for each client.
• Regularly review and update care plans based on clinical observations and feedback to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Ensure timely submission of documentation, reflecting adherence to company policies while meeting state and federal regulations.
