Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift (8-5:30 M-Th; 8-12 Fri)

Job Summary

Perform professional outpatient physical therapy services aimed at restoring function and preventing disability following trauma or disease. This includes conducting tests, measurements, exercises, and modalities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an APTA-approved program or equivalent.
  • Experience: None required.
  • Licensure: Licensed in South Carolina by the SC State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
  • Certifications: CPR Certification.
Essential Functions
  • Provide direct physical therapy to patients upon physician referral.
  • Evaluate patients using appropriate tests and measurements.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Administer treatments such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
  • Document patient progress and treatment data.
  • Instruct patients and families on home programs.
  • Supervise and monitor physical therapy assistants’ care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including consulting with other professionals and scheduling patients.
  • Represent the department in meetings and provide educational in-service classes.
  • Assist in supervising physical therapist assistants and students.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including emergency procedures.
  • Manage time effectively to meet departmental standards.
  • Follow legal and institutional policies, exercising sound judgment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Ensure safe practices and proper use of patient handling equipment.
