Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist to perform objective assessments and craft individualized treatment plans for adults and geriatric patients. The role includes supervision of rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants, ensuring care aligns with Mercy standards and state practice acts.

Required are a PT licensure in the practice state and current BLS certification. Six months to one year of rehab PT experience is preferred, especially with older adults in a hospital

Qualifications

• Current/state licensure as Physical Therapist in the state of practice.
• BLS certification must be current before independent patient care.
• Preferred: 6 months to 1 year of Rehabilitation PT experience with adult/geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts and Mercy policies.
