Job summary

Lakeland Regional Health is seeking a Physical Therapist - Outpatient Float to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple outpatient clinics in Central Florida. This role supports clinic operations by covering staff time off, vacancies, and schedule changes while maintaining clinical excellence and clear communication.

Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, current Basic Life Support, and at least 1 year of outpatient experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of outpatient experience required
• Master Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning with individualized plans of care that support positive outcomes and efficient resource use
• Completes documentation that is accurate, timely, and reflective of patient progress and updates to the plan of care
• Initiates and coordinates patient and family education, equipment needs, and discharge planning based on identified goals and comprehension
• Communicates effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members at each clinic, reporting significant findings promptly and seeking input as needed
• Facilitates coordinated care by initiating appropriate consults and collaborating with multidisciplinary providers
