Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate, plan, direct and administer physical therapy modalities as prescribed by a licensed physician. The role includes coordinating staff, participating in CQI activities, and contributing to department budget management to remain within guidelines.

The successful candidate will assess and treat adults and geriatrics, ensure safety, and collaborate with physicians and the administrative team to meet patient

Qualifications

• Current State Physical Therapy Licensure.
• 1+ years of experience in all aspects of physical therapy.
• Current BLS (CPR) certification.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform appropriate patient assessments and document findings.
• Observe and evaluate treatment effects; communicate changes to physician.
• Deliver safe and effective patient care and protect patient safety.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and expectations.
• Supervise and coordinate with department staff (RCNA, PTA, PT tech).
• Participate in CQI activities and department performance improvement.
• Assist in budget considerations and clinical operations to stay within guidelines.
• Maintain infection control, equipment safety and department training.
