Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to assess, plan, and participate in rehabilitative programs aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and increasing strength across the patient continuum.

You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop goals, educate patients and families, and ensure compliant, high-quality care in a cost-conscious, patient-centered environment in Georgia.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: PT license required upon hire; BLS or equivalent certification.
• Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Implements the physical therapy treatment plan.
• Selects appropriate treatment activities to progress patient toward goals.
• Revises goals/plan of care with patient and family input.
• Provides ongoing patient/family education and training.
• Provides discharge instructions and follow-up referrals as appropriate.
• Acts as a referral source for staff and physicians on rehabilitation services.
• Documents evaluation and plan of care per departmental guidelines.
• Maintains infection prevention and safety standards.
