Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking an Outpatient Retail Pharmacy Technician – Plaza 4 in Saint Joseph, MO. The role supports the pharmacist by preparing prescriptions, handling third-party billing, and processing point of sale transactions in a hospital system retail setting.

Responsibilities include inventory maintenance, regulatory compliance with state boards and DEA, and collaboration with providers and care teams to optimize medication selection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Missouri Board of Pharmacy registration/licensing: must apply on hire and intern license if in school, within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare new prescriptions and refills for pharmacist review, including counting, measuring, mixing and labeling.
• Collect and verify patient demographic, insurance and payment information.
• Assist with third-party claim adjudication to ensure proper billing.
• Engage with patients to complete point of sale transactions and provide assistance.
• Coordinate patient care with healthcare team and respond to pharmacy inquiries.
