UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a PRN Certified Pharmacy Tech to join our Outpatient Truman Pharmacy team. This opportunity is an as needed PRN day shift opening located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Summary: Working under general supervision, the technician provides technical and administrative assistance, assists in dispensing, manages billing and inventory, and supports pharmacy operations in alignment with UNMMG and Truman Health Services guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Registered with State of New Mexico as Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• National ExCPT or PTCB certification required.
• Verification of education and licensure will be required if selected for hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in filling, preparing, and dispensing prescriptions.
• Enter patient prescription orders into a computerized database and maintain health data.
• Formats and uploads patient insurance data for billing and monitors reimbursements.
• Provides direct customer assistance for drop-off and pickup prescriptions.
