OU Health's Nicholson Tower Pharmacy is seeking an entry-level Outpatient Pharmacy Technician I to support medication preparation and distribution under direct pharmacist supervision. This role emphasizes building core technical skills, learning workflows, and assisting with patient care in a dynamic outpatient setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and an Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician permit (or ability to obtain within 90 days).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active permit as a Pharmacy Technician by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical tasks including data entry, third-party adjudication, patient profiles, filing prescription documents, and answering phones.
• Fulfills prescription orders by retrieving medications and labeling for pharmacist verification.
• Assists with inventory control, stocking, and preparation of purchase orders.
• Supports billing tasks and basic recordkeeping under supervision.
• Maintains a clean, organized pharmacy environment and reports safety concerns or errors.
