Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pharmacy technician principles, practices, concepts and theories.
• Knowledge of the computerized prescription process and input of prescriptions.
• Ability to resolve pharmacy issues with the healthcare team and customers.
• Ability to train developmental pharmacy technicians and students.
• Ability to dispense medication following regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process, prepare and package medications and medical supplies for pickup and mail.
• Stock, deliver, inventory, and inspect supplies for outpatient care areas.
• Assemble clinic orders and prescription components with accuracy.
• Distribute controlled substances in accordance with policy and regulation.
• Operate and troubleshoot automated dispensing equipment as needed.
