Job summary

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is seeking a full-time Outpatient Pharmacy professional to join the O/P Pharmacy team. The role involves unit-dose preparation, compounding non-sterile medications, and handling phone triage and insurance adjudication.

The position requires OH Board of Pharmacy registration, a PTCB certification, and within 18 months of hire, certification by both boards. You will operate with hospital computer systems and participate in inventory control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active OH Board of Pharmacy registration.
• Must be PTCB certified and OH Board of Pharmacy certified within 18 months of hire.
• ASHP accredited program graduate OR licensed as a Pharmacy Intern OR 6 months of pharmacy related experience.

Responsibilities

• Medication Orders - Performs unit dose preparation for cartfill and first doses; non-sterile, non-hazard dose prep; prepare oral syringes; deliver patient-specific doses; ADC replenishment.
• Compounding - Compounds non-sterile, non-hazardous medications.
• Phone Triage - Performs outpatient pharmacy phone triage.
• Medical Claims - Performs insurance adjudication.
• Inventory Management - Performs medication storage inspections; interact with pharmacy dispensing machines and hospital computer systems.
