Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, and record-keeping, while following state and federal laws.

Under supervision, you will assist with hospice and offsite prescriptions, participate in third-party billing, ensure stock accuracy, and deliver compassionate, patient-centered service in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School/GED with Pharmacy Technician registration in work state.
• Must sit for PTCB or NHA certification within 30 days of eligibility.
• Active progress toward national certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with selection, procurement, storage, preparation, record keeping, and dispensing of medications.
• Support hospice, third-party claims, offsite facilities and Discharge Medication Delivery Service prescriptions.
• Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in every patient encounter.
• Oversee stock expiry dates and maintain clean/organized pharmacy per 5S.
• Answer phones timely while HIPAA compliance is maintained.
• Assist with ordering and delivering medications from wholesalers using FIFO.
