Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Pharmacist to consult with patients and medical personnel regarding medication therapy. The role includes directing Pharmacist Residents, Interns, Technicians and non-licensed staff, and dispensing, compounding, procuring, storing and distributing pharmaceutical products.

Ideal candidates will review medication information, identify products, and support patient care across a labor/management partnership environment.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license (California).
• Knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations.
• Ability to operate the pharmacy computer systems.
• Ability to extract pertinent information and relate it to patient care.
• Must pass background check and work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Responsibilities

• Consults with patients and medical personnel regarding medication therapy.
• Provides direction to Pharmacist Residents, Pharmacist Interns, Pharmacy Technicians and non-licensed personnel.
• Dispenses, compounds, procures, stores, and distributes pharmaceutical products.
• Provides medication information and product identification to medical personnel and patients.
• Performs other duties as required.
