Job summary

WellSpan Health, a leading health system in Pennsylvania, seeks a knowledgeable Pharmacist to provide pharmaceuticals and information for patient care. The role includes clinical pharmacy services, immunizations, and guidance to patients and staff on medications and interactions.

The position requires a PharmD/BS in Pharmacy, active pharmacist license, and BLS; expects attention to safety, record-keeping, and coordination with care teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD as required.
• Licensed Registered Pharmacist upon hire.
• Authorization to Administer Injectables upon hire.
• Basic Life Support upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Compounds pharmaceutical preparations and labels; packages medications; assists with IV preparation or delivery.
• Advises patients and medical staff on medication use, interactions, and contraindications.
• Maintains controls and records of narcotics and other controlled substances as required by law.
• Monitors drug therapy to identify and address potential problems; collaborates with physicians/nurses.
• Provides clinical pharmacy services as needed; participates in immunization administration.
• Reviews patient immunization profiles and recommends qualifications for immunizations.
