  • Certified Pharmacy Technician - National or ExCPT is required upon hire.
  • MO Registered Pharmacy Technician or KS Registered Pharmacy Technician required.
  • Employees must obtain MO or KS registration within 90 days.
  • PHARM TECH REG MO KS: license or application with license obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • CPHT or ExCPT certification required upon hire or as noted

Overview

Pharmacy technicians are persons certified and skilled in the practical and mechanical aspects of the profession of pharmacy. The pharmacy technician position requires a high level of function in specific skills and knowledge. Increasing involvement of pharmacists with patient care activities has increased the need for trained and qualified pharmacy technicians who are able to assume the more technical roles in pharmacies to relieve the pharmacist of these functions. Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

  • PHARM TECH REG KS Registered Pharmacy Technician - KS or proof of application submitted to board of pharmacy prior to hire with license obtained within 90 days of hire. Only if primary work location is in Kansas. Required 90 Days
  • CPHT Certified Pharmacy Technician - National from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR Required Upon Hire
  • EXCPT NAT ExCPT Pharmacy Technician Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Required Upon Hire

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $20.27/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
