Job summary

Benefis Health System in Great Falls, MT is seeking a medical front desk/customer service professional for a busy outpatient setting. You will perform customer service functions in the medical office and support scheduling and billing processes.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of medical office experience; health insurance billing familiarity is preferred. Starting wage is $18.64/hour, non-exempt, with varied shifts including weekends.

Schedule Overview

• Business Hours: Monday - Friday (7am-7pm), Weekends (9am-6:30pm)
• Variable shifts: Opening, mid, and closing shifts (4 - 10 hour shifts/week)
• Weekend rotation: Generally every 4th weekend
• Holidays: Approximately 1-2 holidays per year
• Flexibility: Schedule may vary based on clinic needs

Performs customer service functions in the medical office setting.

Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health system organization policies and procedures.

Education/License/Experience Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years medical office experience preferred.
• Previous experience with health insurance and patient billing preferred.
• Completion of medical terminology course required within 30 days of hire/transfer.
• Completion of Clarivate Patient Access II Education Packet within 3 months of hire/transfer.
