Job summary

Rowlett Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Full Time Outpatient Occupational Therapist to support outpatient ALF programs in Terrell, TX. The role includes screening and evaluating patients, planning care, and delivering skilled interventions to improve physical functioning and wound care.

Responsibilities also include documentation, patient and family counseling, and coordination with care teams.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapist license is required.
• Open to PTs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
