Rowlett Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Full Time Outpatient Occupational Therapist to support our ALF programs in Terrell, TX, with a focus on evaluation, planning, and delivery of rehabilitative care. The role involves working with geriatric patients in a post-acute setting, maintaining regulatory compliance and high-quality outcomes.

The position requires an OT license and welcomes OTs at all experience levels, including new graduates, to join a supportive team that values

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapist license is required.
• Open to OTs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders; develop care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Assist with activities of daily living and wound care; patient handling and transfers.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehab plan: manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, assistive devices.
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries meeting regulatory and clinical requirements.

Rowlett Health and Rehabilitation Center in Rowlett, TX, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a Full Time Outpatient Occupational Therapist to assist with our outpatient ALF programs in Terrell, TX.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications
