Responsibilities

• Assist with patient transfers using safe body mechanics and adapt plan of care to patient response.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Document evaluations and plans of care, ensuring compliance with department policy and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the medical team on discharge disposition and equipment needs for next level of care.
• Supervise COTA and rehabilitation technicians per regulatory guidelines and provide feedback.
