Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our outpatient care team. You will develop, implement and maintain comprehensive health care programs for patients, clients and athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in athletic training or related field; license in Michigan; CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine or related field.
• Masters degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical evaluation and assessment of an individual for an injury or illness.
• Assists clinical staff with the operation of the clinic.
• Reviews patients’ medical histories and applied them in evaluation, assessment and processes.
• Provides wound management.
• Applied appropriate crutch and brace fitting, cast, and splinting.
• Provides patient/family education as directed by healthcare provider.
• Directly enters medication, laboratory and radiology orders into the electronic medical record per guidelines.
• Assists with ongoing training of existing orthopaedic clinical staff.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine or related field
