Job summary

OrthoGeorgia Macon is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant to join an outpatient orthopedic team. You will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to administer treatments for a diverse caseload, including upper and lower extremity and spine patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• Strong emphasis on patient care, quality, outcomes, and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Administers physical therapy treatments under supervision of Physical Therapist.
• Instructs and assists patients in functional activities (ambulation, transfers, daily living tasks).
• Assists with patient data collection, progress notes, and reports to the Physical Therapist.
• Fits and trains patients in use of braces, prostheses, and assistive devices.
• Contributes to treatment planning by collaborating with therapy staff.
