Job summary

Physical Therapy Solutions in the greater Richmond area is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic team. You will perform comprehensive evaluations, set measurable goals, and deliver one‑on‑one care to help patients restore movement and reduce pain.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• Current Virginia Physical Therapist licensure or eligibility.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Strong orthopedic assessment and treatment skills or willingness to develop them through mentorship.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities; compassionate, individualized care.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to identify functional limitations and establish individualized treatment plans.
• Develop measurable, patient-centered goals and evidence-based plans of care.
• Deliver high-quality, one-on-one physical therapy services to patients with orthopedic/musculoskeletal conditions.
• Utilize manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, functional training, and other evidence-based interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to maximize outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and wellness strategies.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within the EMR.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and rehab technicians per VA rules and policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and insurers to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain productivity standards while delivering exceptional outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative clinic environment.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain current clinical knowledge and skills.
