Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days (AHA)
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Bachelor’s Degree: Occupational Therapy

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with assistance as needed from bed, chair and floor.
• Maintains safe and appropriate body mechanics to reduce injury risk and executes a plan of care with goals, treatment, outcomes and discharge.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Documents evaluations and plans of care per department policy including goals and discharge plan.
• Provides supervision to COTA and rehab technicians in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
