Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from ACOTE-accredited program.
• Current Maryland licensure and AOTA registration.
• ACOTE accreditation required.
• Outpatient experience preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides diagnostic evaluations and treatment to assigned patients, helping them reach maximum performance and function.
• Maintains timely and accurate patient records and reports within 48 hours.
• Designs and administers treatment programs to increase functioning and uses therapeutic techniques.
• Instructs patients in adaptive techniques and the use of adaptive equipment.
• Trains patients in the use of upper-extremity prosthetic devices to resume daily activities.
• Provides prevention therapy and safety education for functional independence.
• Administers activities to prepare patients to return to work.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and informs Manager when supplies are needed.
