Job summary

Ochsner LSU Health seeks a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with WHNP-BC certification to lead outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care, supervise residents, and contribute to teaching and clinical education. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic academic outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• MSN or DNP with WHNP preparation from accredited program.
• Current WHNP-BC certification.
• LA APRN license with prescriptive authority.
• BCLS/ACLS certification.
• Teaching and clinical supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care under supervision of Medical Director and in collaboration with PCCs and nursing staff.
• Plan, implement and evaluate medical and nursing care; stabilize emergencies.
• Teach residents and medical students; serve as clinical preceptor.
• Supervise and educate OB/GYN residents and trainees.
• Maintain compliance with ethics and regulatory standards.
• Be flexible for 24/7 coverage.
