Job summary

SpineSearch LLC is partnering with a leading academic medical center in New York City to recruit an experienced Registered Nurse for an outpatient neurosurgery practice. The RN will collaborate with physicians to deliver comprehensive outpatient neurosurgical care, perform thorough patient assessments, document in the EMR, coordinate tests and referrals,

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license.
• BSN or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 2 years in outpatient, neurosurgical, or specialty practice preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with physicians to provide comprehensive outpatient neurosurgical care.
• Perform patient assessments, collect clinical data, and document findings in the EMR.
• Coordinate patient care across the continuum, including diagnostics and referrals.
• Assist with medication management, renewals, and prior authorizations.
• Provide patient education and triage via phone/MyChart.
• Review results and communicate findings to the care team.
• Support clinical operations while ensuring infection control and quality standards.
• Assist with urgent patient situations in collaboration with physicians and leadership.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary services for a seamless patient experience.
• Serve as a resource for clinical staff and assist with onboarding and mentoring.
