Job summary

Bayhealth in Delaware seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Neuromuscular Neurology Physician to join our outpatient Neurology practice. You will provide comprehensive care for adult patients with neuromuscular disorders in an outpatient setting and collaborate with Neurosciences specialists.

The role offers opportunities to develop and expand specialized neuromuscular services within Bayhealth's Neurosciences program, with a schedule that supports outpatient care and multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program.
• Board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
• Delaware license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology.
• Experience with EMG/NCS and electrodiagnostic medicine.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive neuromuscular history and neurological examinations.
• Diagnose and manage complex neuromuscular disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment and longitudinal care plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care for neuromuscular disease.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing, including EMG/NCS.
• Collaborate with Neurosciences, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Rheumatology, and others.
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment.
• Participate in quality improvement and development of clinical pathways.
