Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification/eligibility in neurology.
• Completion of an accredited neurology residency.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in the outpatient setting.
• Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide consultations and medical guidance to clinical staff.
• Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation within Epic.
• Respond to patient calls, messages, and follow-up care needs.
• Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, therapists and other team members.
• Participate in an equitable physician call schedule as assigned.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to medical emergencies in accordance with policies.
• Monitor for signs of abuse, neglect, or safety concerns and report according to policy.

LCMC Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologist to join our expanding outpatient neuroscience program in Marrero, Louisiana. This opportunity offers a collaborative, physician-focused practice environment with the flexibility to develop subspecialty interests while maintaining a strong foundation in general neurology.

• Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
• 36 patient contact hours per week

Position Responsibilities

• Monitor for signs of abuse, neglect, or safety concerns and report according to policy

• Support compliance with infection prevention, quality improvement, and regulatory standards
• Maintain a safe and clean clinical environment
• Implement standard and transmission-based precautions
• Promote patient safety and exceptional patient experiences
• Report safety hazards and concerns promptly to clinic leadership

Qualifications

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

Training

• Completion of an accredited Neurology Residency Program

Licensure & Certifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Eligible for or current Louisiana Medical License
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
