Job summary

LCMC Health's New Orleans Physician Services (NOPS) is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Primary Care Physician to join our outpatient practice in Marrero, Louisiana. You will deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care with emphasis on preventive medicine and chronic disease management.

The ideal candidate holds MD or DO with Louisiana licensure (or eligibility) and a proven commitment to building lasting patient relationships.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited Residency Program in: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics (Med-Peds).
• Current or eligible Louisiana Medical License through the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med-Peds.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Eligibility for medical staff membership and clinical privileges.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic care.
• Perform routine physical examinations, wellness visits, and health screenings.
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that support long-term health outcomes.
• Promote disease prevention, health maintenance, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Provide immunizations and preventive services in accordance with established guidelines.
• Respond to patient calls, messages, and care needs in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation and medical records.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent and emergent clinical situations.
• Observe and report signs of abuse, neglect, or other concerns in accordance with organizational policies.
