Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA)
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) – IL IDFPR
• Bachelor's Degree: Occupational Therapy (Required)

Responsibilities

• Transfers with assistance as needed and ensures safe body mechanics
• Designs and implements a care plan with goals, outcomes, and discharge plan
• Educates patients, families and caregivers using effective teaching methods
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes
• Performs examinations using reliable methods relevant to the chief complaint and history
• Documents evaluations and plans of care per department policy
• Supervises COTA and rehab technicians per regulatory guidelines
• Communicates patient status, discharge recommendations and equipment needs to the medical team

Education

Bachelor‘s Degree: Occupational Therapy (Required)
