Outpatient Mental Health Therapist I - $20K Bonus Offered

Full-Time: 40 Hours Per Week
1st Shift: 8am-4:30pm
Monday - Friday
Outpatient Services
$20,000 [taxed] sign-on bonus offered with 2-year work commitment

Summary

The Mental Health Therapist I applies graduate-level counseling skills/social work under the supervision of an licensed staff member as stipulated by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Responsibilities include psychosocial assessments of individuals, adolescents, families, and groups, providing graduate-level clinical social work/counseling interventions as appropriate. The position will complete 3,000 hours of supervised clinical work required for licensure.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial psychosocial assessments and triage care accordingly.
  • Communicate with staff regarding assessments, treatments, and care plans.
  • Provide competent care for physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of patients.
  • Manage cases involving collaboration with hospital and community professionals.
  • Use evidence-based trauma and risk assessment tools, applying crisis intervention skills when needed.
  • Complete documentation ethically and timely.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Specialized Add-Ons
  • Outpatient: Conduct CBT and other evidence-based treatments.
  • PHP/IOP: Use CBT and DBT in individual, group, and family therapy.
  • PIRC: Conduct risk assessments, triage intake calls, and develop crisis treatment plans.
  • Substance Use: Use CBT and Motivational Interviewing, involve family, and provide behavior modification.
Additional Information

Technical Skills: Experience with EMR software like EPIC preferred; proficiency in MS Office required; telehealth experience preferred.

Education & Experience: Master’s in Social Work or related field required; licensure (LSW, LPC, MFT) required; 1-2 years relevant experience preferred; supervisory experience none.
