Job summary

Psychiatric Medical Care, LLC in Denison, IA is seeking licensed professionals to join an intensive outpatient therapy program for older adults with depression and anxiety related to aging. You will collaborate with a small team to deliver group, individual and family therapy and ensure Medicare-compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa licensure in Social Work or Counseling (LISW/LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc.) required
• Experience with geriatric depression/anxiety preferred
• Ability to provide evidence-based therapy and document per Medicare timelines

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a small disciplinary team (psychiatric physician, RN Director, admin) to serve senior patients
• Develop, personalize, and update treatment plans with the team
• Provide compliant Medicare documentation within set timeframes
• Utilize group therapy as main modality; also conduct individual and family sessions
• Assist with local community education and other duties as assigned

Are you licensed in the state of Iowa as one of the following: LMHC, LISW, LMFT, LMFT-T, LMCSW, LMHC-T? Come, be part of our intensive outpatient therapy program where you will work with the geriatric community suffering from depression and anxiety due to the aging process. Our patients typically improve within 6 months of being in our program!

Salary:

up to $96,000.00 dependent upon experience

Location:

Denison, Iowa (This is one of our newest IOPs in Iowa that opened up October 2025)

Patient Population:

Older adults ages 65 and above

Hybrid Schedule

After 90 days, this position will be a hybrid schedule where you can work from home Tuesdays & Thursdays.

PMC can provide supervision for provisionally licensed therapists or social workers

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a small disciplinary team comprised of a psychiatric physician, RN Director, and medical office coordinator providing services to the senior population
• Use evidenced based therapeutic approaches and develop, personalize, and update treatment plans with your team
• Provide compliant documentation based on Medicare guidelines within a designated time-frame
• Our main focus is utilizing group therapy but also include:
• Individual sessions
• Family therapy (as needed)
• Assist with local community education
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Licensure: License in Social Work or Counseling as recognized by the state; may include LISW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc. – required
