The Cincinnati VAMC is seeking a Registered Nurse for Outpatient Mental Health to provide and supervise direct patient care across age groups. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care with emphasis on education, self-management, and patient satisfaction.

Preferred candidates will have strong psychiatric care experience and a current RN license in good standing.

Formación

• Must be graduate of a nursing program approved by a recognized accrediting agency.
• Current, full, active and unrestricted RN license in a US state or territory.
• For foreign nursing graduates, degree equivalency validation may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide patient-centered and recovery-oriented care for mental health patients.
• Coordinate care with In- and outpatient teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform nursing assessments, triage, and documentation per facility policy.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and treatment plans.
• Assist in safety planning and de-escalation in crisis situations.

Nursing degree from ACEN/CCNE accredited program

State license as Registered Nurse

Foreign education evaluation accepted (ICD)
