Job summary

The Cincinnati VAMC is seeking a Registered Nurse- Outpatient Mental Health who is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. Candidates must be proficient in English, graduate from an approved nursing program, hold an active, unrestricted RN license in the United States, and meet VA qualification standards.

Preferred experience includes two years in psychiatric or substance use disorder treatment; outpatient care

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required (per VA policy).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ Diploma, BSN, or MSN paths).
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in the U.S. or equivalent for appointment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care.
• Comply with VA Handbook qualification standards and local policies.
• Prepare for and assist with physical requirements and safety standards in clinical care.
