ORTHOPEDIC ASSOC. in Butler, PA is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time role with a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Under supervision of a nurse or physician, you perform direct patient care, lab tests, and immunizations, and handle clerical support.

You will prepare patients for exams, document accurately, collect vitals, and assist with procedures while maintaining infection control and safety standards. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; MS Office skills; and certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong leadership, organization, judgment and liability knowledge.
• Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) required.

Responsabilités

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care per policies and protocols.
• Collect patient data including vitals, weight, chief complaint and pain assessment.
• Perform treatments and testing as ordered; ensure accurate documentation.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments and procedures.
• Communicate issues to physician or nurse; assist with clerical duties.
• Enter demographic, insurance data, codes and charges into billing system.
• Maintain infection control standards and safety practices.
• Complete forms and letters for continued patient care.
