Job summary

University Hospitals Jefferson Primary Care in Kentucky seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting, rooming patients, taking vital signs, documenting in the EHR and assisting with procedures.

You will manage patient flow at the front desk, schedule appointments, verify payer information, maintain PHI securely, and contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program is required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of clinical Medical Assistant experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.
• Front desk duties: scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
• Performs patient centered care delegated by Provider.
• Provides a safe environment for patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain PHI for our patients.
