Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Foundation, Stockton, CA, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support daily patient flow and the medical team. You will prepare charts, assist with exams, relay physician instructions, and help with medication authorizations and EMR management.

Required: HS diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assistant program, and CPR at hire; preferred: outpatient experience, billing, call-center exposure, and multi-line phone handling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Completed Medical Assistant program per DHMF guidelines or military equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification at hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient charts and documents.
• Assist with patient exams and procedures.
• Relay physician instructions and administer physician-directed medications.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Manage medical records (charts and EMR).
• Coordinate with providers, insurance and pharmacies for authorizations and refills.
