Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program (Required) and High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
• Less than 1 year clinical experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
• CMA certification preferred; BLS within 90 days preferred

Responsibilities

• Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.
• Assist with front desk duties: scheduling patients, collecting/verifying payer information, and other documentation.
• Performs basic patient-centered care as delegated by provider.
• Provides a safe environment for patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Abides by UH PHI safety and code of conduct policies.
