Inova Health System in Reston, VA is seeking an Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Primary Care team. This full-time day position runs Monday–Friday, 7:50am–5:00pm, on-site at 122700 Sunrise Valley Drive, Suite 301, Reston, VA 20191.

The LPN provides direct patient care under RN supervision, maintains medical records, and participates in unit teams and quality initiatives. VA LPN license and BLS required; 0 years of experience; vocational/technical nursing diploma required.

Qualifications

• Education: Vocational/Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing.
• License: Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia (VA).
• Experience: 0 years of experience.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the RN.
• Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes and physician orders while documenting all patient care activities.
• Participates on unit teams, work groups and/or committees.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
