Job summary

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship or eligible for appointment per VA policy.
• Full, active, current licensure as an LPN/LVN in the United States.
• Graduate of an approved practical or vocational nursing program.
• English language proficiency as required by law.
• GS-3 to GS-6 progression indicates growing competency over time.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered outpatient nursing care as part of a care team.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other staff to deliver high-quality care.
• Administer prescribed medications and document responses.
• Assist in patient education and discharge planning.
• Recognize emergencies and initiate appropriate actions with supervision.
