Job summary

Inova Health System Neurosurgery is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 2 to join the team for a full-time day position, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment in Northern Virginia. The LPN will coordinate referrals, administer prescribed medications, and maintain patient records under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• Education: Vocational / Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing.
• License: Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates referrals for patient chronic care conditions and follow up care as indicated by the initial care plan of the specialist and/or primary care physician.
• Administers prescribed oral and intramuscular medications, therapies and treatments following practical nursing standards and under the direct supervision of the physician.
• Effectively communicates with healthcare team members, patients and families; Supports healthcare team members to achieve team goals and assigns appropriate tasks to care assistants.
• Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes and physician orders; Documents all patient care activities in accordance with documentation standards and legal requirements for medical facilities.

Inova Neurosurgery is looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 2 to join the team. This role will be full time day position, Monday – Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Minimum Qualifications:
